The governance model for the Digital Office consists of several boards and working groups.


Digital Partnership Board

Partners
Digital Office, COSLA, Scotland Excel, SEEMiS and Improvement Service.

Purpose
Oversee the collective response of Local Government actions in the Scottish Digital Strategy and other key national strategies.

Digital Assurance Board

Partners
Digital Office, Socitm, SEEMiS, Scotland Excel and Improvement Service.

Purpose
Oversee the development of technical, data and cyber principles and standards. Provides technical oversight and assurance of digital programmes that impact the whole of local government, and provide targeted advice and guidance to individual councils.

Digital Office Board

Membership
SOLACE, Socitm, representation from key council service areas and sponsors of portfolios. 

Purpose
Provides scrutiny and oversight of the Digital Office's strategy, finances and delivery, escalating issues and risks to the Partnership Board.

Working Groups

We lead a range of working groups with key stakeholders across the Digital Partnership, driving forward our portfolios and projects.

Local Government Service Design Group
A collaborative effort supporting local government to adopt and embed the Scottish Approach to Service Design (SAtSD) and provide centralised resources.

IoT Advisory Group
Providing sector-wide leadership for IoT, setting the direction for products, events and initiatives.

Enterprise Architecture Group
Developing technical leadership for cross-sector digital services and providing advice and guidance to councils.

Data Products and Services Catalogue Working Group
Working collaboration with colleagues from across local government and the public sector to create libraries of data resources such as analytics, blueprints, case studies, guidance, and other useful materials.

Health and Care Data Returns Working Group
Working collaboration with colleagues from across local government, Public Health Scotland and Scottish Government to improve the effectiveness of health and care data returns to positively impact policymaking and outcomes, both nationally and locally.

Locality Profiling Working Group
Working collaboration with colleagues from across local government and the public sector to develop a standard framework for effective locality profiling, including datasets for inclusion, and standards such as geography and timeliness.

Open Data Working Group
Working collaboration with colleagues from across local government and the public sector to promote the importance of open data and developing guidance to support this.
