ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION AND ARTIFICIAL WORKSHOP
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence is increasingly becoming a hot topic across Scottish Local Government, looking at how we use software to automate repetitive production tasks to streamline business processes. The rule-based software evolved from screen scraping, workflow automation, and artificial intelligence allowing the software to aggregate data, trigger responses, and initiate new actions.
The Digital Office for Scottish Local Government is hosting a workshop on these two key areas to scope and develop a project which aims to:
- Inspire and influence key stakeholders in the potential to use (and identify suitable training in) Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve productivity and reduce costs;
- Work in collaboration with Scotland Excel to develop a common approach to purchasing, implementing, and sharing RPA and AI solutions and;
- Develop a pipeline of common business challenges that would allow councils to collaborate, co-develop, and share solutions with RPA and AI.
Following the workshop, project teams will be set up to develop key products that have been identified in both the workshop and survey which was issued to the Digital Partnership in late 2019.
Date: Thursday 20 February
Time: 10am - 3pm
Venue: Edinburgh Training and Conference Venue, 16 Saint Mary's Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1SU
This workshop is free for Scottish Local Government employees only.
